Töölö Brass

Who we are

Töölö Brass is the oldest of the British style brass bands in Finland. The band lends it name from the district in Helsinki where it was started. Since its inception in 1980 the band, consisting of music professionals, retired orchestra musicians as well accomplished amateurs, has been performing Finnish music composed and arranged for brass band as well as brass band classics from abroad.  Being one of only a small number of brass bands, serving as an ambassador for brass band culture also is part of the core mission of Töölö Brass. Elias Seppälä is currently serving as musical director of the band and Anssi Autio is our president.
